Exhibitor Appointed Contractors (EACs) and Third Parties

GES is partnering with the Exhibition Services and Contractors Association (“ESCA”) in their development of a new program. The Gateway is an industry compliance management program powered by ESCA. It was built to give Exhibitor Appointed Contractors, vendors, show organizers, and Official Service Providers a single, trusted place to handle insurance compliance across events. Instead of navigating different forms and processes for every show, EACs submit once, get reviewed against the requirements of the specific event, and receive clearance.

ESCA owns the program and operates it in partnership with ExhibitorInsurance.com, which handles certificate review for EAC submissions.

  1. An Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) is any company or individual you hire to provide services for your trade show booth who is not an employee of your company or an official show contractor (GES). A Third Party is any company or individual that is responsible for payment for services on the exhibitor’s behalf. Throughout this process, Third Parties and Exhibitor Appointed Contractors are collectively referred to as "EAC".

  2. Exhibitors still need to submit the Notice of Intent to hire an EAC to GES.
