Promat Show Frequenty Asked Questions

Q1. What is the process for Anchoring?
  1. The anchoring request has to be approved by McCormick Place prior to any anchoring taking place.
  2. An overall floor layout drawing indicating the exact placement of the product being anchored and the anchor location is required due to electrical port runs and floor beam placement.
  3. Once the floor layout drawing is received by GES, our utilities department will confirm and advise the approval.

Q2. How do I know how much power I need for my booth

For equipment, please look at the tags or plates on the equipment to read the type and how much power is needed for each electrical item in your booth. Please go to Electrical Information for more detailed information.

Q3. How are the Material Handling rates calculated for this show?

Please use the Overtime (OT/OT) rates when calculating Material Handling rates since this show moves in and out on Overtime (OT). Then determine the Material Handling rates by dividing the weight of your freight by 100 to calculate the Century Weight Total (CWT). The CWT is then multiplied by the rate listed on the Transportation Plus and Material Handling form.

Q4. How do I change my target date?

Target date changes need to be directed to the show organizer at mauer@mhi.org. The Show Organizer will provide you with the GES Target Date form which will provide you with information on sending to GES to accept or decline.

Q5. How do I submit my orders?

You can order everything you need for your tradeshow exhibits, view account order history, download the show schedule, access the manual, and so much more on Expresso.

Q6. What if I forgot my Username/Password for Expresso?

  1. Scroll to the top of this page and click Log In.
  2. Then click on the link to Forgot your password.
  3. Provide your email address and click Send my Reminder Email.
  4. You will receive the Expresso Password Reset that will include a link to reset your password along with your username.

Q7. When do I need to complete a Booth Layout?

Only complete the Booth Layout if you ordered any of the following:
Hanging Signs
Truss Lighting
Display Cases
Pegboard / Tackboard
Special Colored Drape
Standard Exhibit Systems (if exhibit size is smaller than booth size)
Pad and Carpet (if you are not carpeting your entire booth)
Installation & Dismantling
