Hanging Sign Labor Information

Prior approval of show management and appropriate building authorities are required for hanging signs.


Discount Rate Information

  • GES is responsible for assembly, installation, and removal of all hanging signs.
  • To receive the Discount Price, you must complete your Hanging Sign Labor Order by Thursday, January 11, 2018.
  • The hanging sign must also arrive at the GES warehouse by Monday, January 29, 2018 to ensure that the sign is hung prior to show opening. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR SIGN WILL BE HUNG IF IT IS NOT RECEIVED BY THE DEADLINE DATE.

Hanging Sign Shipping Instructions

  • Please ship your hanging signs in advance.
  • All hanging signs must be received in advance at the GES warehouse by Tuesday, January 2, 2018 - Monday, January 29, 2018   to receive the Discount Price.
  • Please ship all hanging signs in a separate container using the Hanging Sign Label. Mark bills of lading “Hanging Sign”. Prepay all shipments.
  • Please contact us for information on advance shipping for all uncrateable signs.

Reminders about your Hanging Signs

  • All signs must be designed to comply with Show Organizer rules and regulations and facility limitations.
  • Make sure all signs, with the exception of cloth banners and signs under 100 lbs., have structurally engineered rigging points as well as blueprints displaying a current structural engineer's stamp.
  • If your sign requires electricity, make sure it is in working order and in accordance with the National Electric Code. Don't forget to order electrical services.
  • Include Exhibitor contact information with the order.
  • For safety reasons, signs weighing 500 lbs. or greater will require chain hoist motor. These signs will be hung by the electrical union.
  • Include engineer-stamped assembly and hanging instructions with the order. GES accepts no liability for any work completed without such instructions, when required. Work is done at Exhibitor’s risk and Exhibitor shall indemnify and defend GES and Show Organizer from any claims arising out of or related to the installation or dismantle of any sign without approved drawings.
