ATTENTION: IMPORTANT FACILITY POLICY UPDATE FOR ALL NFDA EXHIBITORS & EACS


The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC) is launching a new Waste Diversion Policy. They are aiming to reduce the amount of items in landfills that can be re-used, reduced, or recycled. They are committed to increasing sustainability and lowering impact from their facilities and events. National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) will be used as a pilot show to implement the following new procedures.

Exhibit Hall Recycling Programs during Move In/Move Out:
  • Cardboard
  • Visqueen
  • Wood
  • Scrap / Metal

Attendee/Events recycling in pre-function and exhibit halls:
  • Cans/bottles/paper
  • Composting by request for food and beverage areas
  • Kitchen composting via Sodexo Live!
  • Food donations via Sodexo Live!
  • Event item donations program through New Orleans and Company

The following items CANNOT be left, and arrangements will need to be made for outbound shipment from the NOENMCC upon the completion of the show:
  • Pallets
  • Carpet
  • Carpet Padding
  • Carpet Cardboard Tubes

If items are left and the policy is not adhere to, the following charges may apply:

If you are working with an EAC, it is YOUR responsibility to inform them of this new policy. If you have placed your order for carpet and/or padding through GES, we are aware of the new policy and are implementing the appropriate procedures to support the endeavor. Carpet and padding ordered through GES will not be subject to additional disposal fees.
