In the event move-in or move-out is during overtime, all applicable surcharges will apply. Straight Time: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

All inbound carriers must check into the warehouse by 2:00 PM to be guaranteed same day unloading. Loading docks become busy and cannot always accommodate late afternoon arrivals due to heavy congestion.

Warehouse receiving hours are:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Closed 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM & Holidays.


Warehouse cannot accept:
Any single piece greater than 4,400 lbs. (1995 kg)
Any single piece with a height greater than 100 inches (2.5 m)
Any single piece with a width greater than 96 inches (2.4 m)
Any flatbed deliveries

Please Note: Crate Sizes at this facility are restricted to: 8' tall, 8' long, and 6' wide due to narrow freight paths. Freight that does not meet these requirements will be subject to special handling fees.

Direct to show site shipments will not be accepted at Sheraton Grand Chicago

All exhibit materials must be sent in advance to the GES warehouse. Direct to exhibit site shipments will not be accepted at the facility. The facility does not have the capabilities to receive nor does it have adequate storage space for Exhibitor materials. Any materials shipped to the facility will be consigned to GES and the exhibiting company will be billed the appropriate material handling charges by GES.

If freight is delivered to the Advance Warehouse within the posted date range or on-target, it is billed at the Standard Rate. If freight is delivered to the Advance Warehouse outside the posted date range or off-target, it is billed at the Non-Standard Rate. Posted date ranges are listed under Important Dates and Deadlines under Show Information.

In addition, carriers must be directed to pick up outbound shipments at the GES warehouse.
