Please order Hanging Signs labor by Monday, October 9, 2023 - deadline date to receive the discounted price. By ordering in advance, you will help us assure your sign is properly assembled and installed.
GES is responsible for assembly, installation, and removal of all hanging signs. GES maintains the right of refusal to hang any signs deemed structurally unsafe. All booth rigging information including, but not limited to, assembly instructions, rigging plot point plans, and booth layouts should be sent to GESNOLAPRODUCTION@ges.com. For any custom quote inquiries or questions regarding your hang, please contact GES at GESNOLAPRODUCTION@ges.com.
- All signs must be designed to comply with GES rules, regulations, and facility limitations. Make sure all signs, except for cloth and vinyl banners, have structurally engineered rigging points as well as blueprints displaying a current structural engineer's stamp.
- If your sign requires electricity, make sure it is in working order and in accordance with the National Electric Code.
- Please include engineer-stamped drawings with hanging instructions as well as a set of assembly instructions (placement/orientation) with the order. GES accepts no liability for any work completed without such instructions, when required. Work is done at Exhibitor's risk and Exhibitor shall indemnify and defend GES and Show Organizer from any claims arising out of or related to the installation or dismantle of any sign without approved drawings.
Does your High Lift require Electrical Labor?
- Does your sign weigh over 150lbs?
- Does your sign have a rotator?
- Does your sign have any electrical components?
If you answer "yes" to any of these questions and/or weighs over 150lbs, your sign will require a hoist motor. Be sure to order electrical power for your sign.
Truss and Hoists
GES is responsible for assembly, installation, and removal of all truss.
If you wish your representative to be present during the assembly, installation, and removal of your truss, please contact GES at GESNOLAPRODUCTION@ges.com.
- All truss must be designed to comply with GES rules and regulations along with the facility limitations.
- All truss must be from a recognized manufacturer. Manufacturer load specifications for your truss must be at show site prior to rigging.
- Climbing on truss is strictly prohibited.
- All lamps and fixtures attached to truss must be in good working order and in compliance with the National Electric Code.
- All hoists must be from a recognized manufacturer and must be in good working order.
- Hoist maintenance records should be available for inspection by GES.
- Exhibitors are responsible for ordering electrical directly from the Ernest Morial Convention Center (HTTPS://SERVICES.MCCNO.COM). For Hoists, exhibitor will need to order a 280 volt, 30 amp, 3 phase drop with an L 21 connector
Shipping Instructions
- Hanging signs should be received at our advanced Warehouse by Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
- Please ship all hanging signs separate from any other materials shipped to our warehouse.
- Please ensure that materials shipped are properly labeled, see example below.
