Electrical and Plumbing Booth Check/Inspection Notice

Important Electrical Information

For your safety, all electrical work (including floor work distribution) must be performed by the general contractor GES.

An exhibitor may include up to 6 plug-ins into one extension cord or one multi-strip located at the side or back of their booth only. UL approved/factory installed cords must go directly from the fixture to the multi-strip. Any order above 2000 watts of power will require labor installation by a GES electrician. Any electrical work that is required, i.e. distribution of power, and install of electrical apparatus must be installed by a GES electrician. An EAC (Exhibitor Appointed Contractor) may not perform any electrical work including hanging any lights.

For safety and liability reason inspections may be conducted at showsite for any violation where electrical work was performed by non-GES personnel. (See E-3 for labor rates, 1hr minimum). A fee of $ 300.00 may be assessed for the violation.

Exhibits found using more power than ordered will be appropriately billed.

All electrical pre-orders will be addressed first; any show-site orders will be handled after all pre-show orders are completed. It is important to order your electrical requirements early to alleviate any delays and/or increased costs. When you place your order, remember to include the booth layout form (Form H-3 in the Exhibitor Manual), providing the proper information. A booth layout form, form of payment and a complete order placed prior to the Discount Deadline will be required to receive discount pricing on outlets and labor. If you have questions, please contact the National Servicenter online at www.ges.com/chat. To fax orders to the National Servicenter, please fax them to 866.329.1437 (USA) or 702.263.1520 (International).
