Plan your labor needs for installation and dismantle of machinery and display utilizing straight time hours whenever possible. |
Overtime and double time labor can increase your labor costs from 50 to 100 percent. |

The cost of compressed air and water connections increases by 50 percent or more when ordered after the deadline. |
Order bottled gas services and submit prior to Wednesday, July 24, 2024. |
Bottled gases are not kept in stock. Place order early to lock in pricing and ensure availability. |
Submit a booth a layout with ALL utility orders prior to deadline to ensure discount pricing. |
Not submitting a booth layout for any utility order prior to the discount deadline will result in additional charges. |
Arrange for disposal of unwanted skids and crates during the installation process. |
The exhibiting company will be invoiced for the disposal of skids or crates that are left behind. Fees include: carpenter and rigging labor and equipment, as well as dumpster charges. |
Arrange for disposal of oil and water soluble fluids prior to Wednesday, July 24, 2024. |
Exhibitors leaving waste oil and/or water soluble fluids on the show floor will be billed for this service, to include labor, barrels, and per gallon disposal fees. |
To Guarantee discount pricing arrange for porter service, shampooing, mopping, waxing and vacuuming of stairs and upper decks prior to Wednesday, August 14, 2024. |
A Custom Block does not include trash removal during show hours, shampooing, mopping, waxing, or vacuuming of stairs and upper decks. |
Arrange for shipments to the advance warehouse to arrive between Friday, July 26, 2024 - Friday, August 23, 2024. |
Shipments arriving early will incur additional storage fees. Shipments arriving after the deadline will incur a 30% late fee. |
Review your target date for Install and Dismantle to ensure freight arrives at show site on time. |
Not taking your target date into account can be a costly mistake and will result in an $22.00 per CWT charge for all freight that is off-target. |

The GES advance warehouse is unable to receive flatbed shipments, or any single piece weighing in excess of 5,000 lbs. Please contact the IMTS Call Center at 630.671.7960 for assistance. |
Avoid shipping in crates and/or containers in excess of 15 cubic meters. Arrange for uncrating or unpacking of the container prior to delivery to show site. |
Crates or shipping containers in excess of 15 cubic meters will incur an additional charge of $638.25 per cubic meter to cover additional handling.

Waiting to handle a problem can often result in the problem escalating. Issues that are not addressed promptly often result in additional cost to get them resolved. |
Take advantage of the GES Order Confirmation Review process. Set up an appointment to review your account during the show. Resolving problems is always easier while everyone is still on site. |
When you wait until after the show to dispute charges, the hall is empty. It's difficult to resolve a problem when the people and materials involved have moved on. |
