Targeted Move In & Empty Removal Schedule and Policy

New this year, AUA and GES are experiencing challenges due to the facility construction, limited availability in the dock area, and the high volume of containers typically handled on the show floor. To better serve you and to keep costs low (additional straight time installation hours as well as to facilitate the installation and cleaning of aisle carpet), an “Empty Container Removal and Clean Floor Policy” will be implemented this year. GES and the AUA are requesting your support to ensure move-in is a success by labeling your empty containers as outlined below in the defined timeline. This timeline corresponds with the Targeted Move-in schedule (which is also color-coded) and available in the Exhibitor Service Kit. It is critical to the show and to your success to follow this plan.

GREEN Targeted Move-In
All Empty Containers must be labeled with “Empty” stickers for removal by Wednesday, May 16, 5:00 PM

BLUE Targeted Move-In
All Empty Containers must be labeled with “Empty” stickers for removal by Thursday, May 17, 5:00 PM

ORANGE Targeted Move-In
All Empty Containers must be labeled with “Empty” stickers for removal by Thursday, May 17, 5:00 PM

Purple Targeted Move-In (LIFO) Hall BC
All Empty Containers must be labeled with “Empty’ stickers for removal by Saturday, May 19, 9:00 AM

GES will have crews working overnight to remove all empty containers to make for a safer work environment while you complete your exhibit installation process through Friday May 18th until 5:00 pm. Having clean aisles will also allow for easier movement of boom and scissor lifts to complete truss work, light focus and general sign hangs in a timely and cost-effective manner.

General Practices Applicable to All Exhibitors
  • Exhibitor or EDC Ladders or work/job boxes may stay on the floor. We are requesting you stay within the confines of your booth perimeter during setup.
  • Unless GES installed your carpet covering, all exhibitors or your EDC should remove visqueen on booth carpet and place in the aisle by 5:00 pm on Friday May 18th.

Empty Container Late Removal Fee Failure to have your empty containers or materials labeled by the defined deadline listed above will result in a late fee being assessed based on the total number of empty containers and/or materials (aka empties). GES personnel will advise exhibitors on the show floor of their impending deadline to give respective exhibitors sufficient time to tag and label all containers. The late fees will be assessed as follows:

  • 1 - 10 Containers $250.00 ea. for each individual empty container not labeled.
  • 11 - 20 Containers $500.00 ea. for each individual empty container not labeled.
  • 20+ Containers $750.00 ea. for each individual empty container not labeled.
