Personally Owned Vehicle (POV)
What is a Personally Owned Vehicle? A Personally Owned Vehicle or POV is classified as any vehicle that is primarily designed to transport passengers, not cargo or freight.
Examples of Personally Owned Vehicles (POV): Passenger vehicles under 1 ton: Car, SUV, Mini Van, Small pickup trucks, taxis, limos, Uber, Lyft, etc.
What is not a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV): Company Vehicles of any kind, trailers, moving vans, U-Hauls, Cargo Vans, vehicle with a lift gate, materials on skids/pallets, crates, anything requiring moving equipment such as a palette jack, forklift, etc.
There are 2 options for unloading if you have a POV
Option 1 - Cartload Service: (600 lbs. max.) GES can assist with unloading and loading your passenger vehicle for move-in and move
out.
Criteria to qualify for Cartload Service:
- Must have 2 people. One person to stay with the vehicle and another to walk product to the booth.
- Product must be “loose” not palletized/crated.
- Total weight of items must not exceed 600lbs. Cartloads that exceed 600lbs will be charged the standard Material Handing rates for freight
- Vehicle must be an “acceptable” Personally Owned Vehicles (POV) as shown above.
If ALL items above apply, you may use Cartload Service! Proceed to the Marshalling Yard.

Look for “Cartload Service – Personally Owned Vehicles (POV) ONLY” signs to check in once you arrive. A GES Representative will issue a dock pass and directions back to the Hilton unloading area. Vehicles for Cartload Service will be unloaded first come, first served as dock space is available.
Once you arrive at the Anaheim Convention Center loading dock you’ll have a 20-minute max time to unload. Personally Owned Vehicles that are left unattended for an extended time may be towed away at the exhibitor’s expense. Personally Owned Vehicles (POVs) may park FREE at Angel Stadium or in the ACC parking deck if space is available for $12per day after unloading at the dock.
Option 2 - CaHand Cary: (100 lbs. max.) An exhibitor can Hand Carry their own materials/products to your booth without the use of hand carts, two-wheeled dollies, or any four-wheel cart or dolly which is prohibited by union rules.
Criteria to qualify for Hand Carry:
- Must have 2 people. One person to stay with the vehicle and another to walk product to the booth. Items unloaded curb side cannot be left unattended.
- There will be a maximum 15-minutes to unload in the designated areas and any unattended vehicles will be towed away at the exhibitor’s expense.
- Vehicle must be an “acceptable” Personally Owned Vehicles (POV) as shown above.
- The use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, lift gates or any other mechanical equipment is NOT permitted.

Suggested Hand Carry Unloading locations at the ACC are within the Anaheim Hilton Parking Deck on Level P2. Entrance is located off Convention Way.

Respect Clean Air and Turn Off Your Engine: Adhere to California’s Anti-Idling Ordinance by not idling your vehicle for more than 5 minutes during the move in and move out. Violation of this ordinance can result in fines between $300 to $1,000.
